Terms of Service
Last updated: July 11, 2026 · Version 0.5.0-beta
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Rangor (rangor.io), including the website, hosted platform at app.rangor.io, APIs, MCP endpoints, and browser extension (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Rangor is a cloud-hosted service. You access it via our website, Dashboard at app.rangor.io, APIs, and browser extension. We operate and maintain the infrastructure required to index your connected sources and deliver context packages.
The Service is currently offered as a beta (version 0.5.0-beta). Features, availability, and pricing may change. We may add, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your workspace. Keep API tokens and MCP credentials confidential.
When you create a workspace, you represent that you have authority to connect the data sources you configure and to invite team members.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate law or third-party rights.
- Attempt to access data or workspaces you are not authorized to access.
- Reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt the Service except where permitted by law.
- Upload malware, abuse rate limits, or interfere with other users.
- Misrepresent the origin of context packages or remove required provenance when redistributing UCP output.
4. Your data and connected sources
You retain ownership of content from your connected systems. You grant Rangor a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you and your authorized workspace members, subject to source permissions and your configuration.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect each data source and to share indexed context with your team and agents.
5. Open protocol
Context packages use the open UCP format (documented at ucpcore.org). Rangor is the hosted reference platform for UCP; the protocol itself remains vendor-neutral.
6. Fees
Individual tiers may be offered at no charge during beta. Team and enterprise features may be billed per seat or under a separate agreement. We will disclose applicable fees before charging you. Taxes may apply.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RANGOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Context packages are generated from your connected sources. Rangor does not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or suitability for any decision. You are responsible for verifying critical information before acting on it.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RANGOR AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).
9. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold harmless Rangor from claims arising from your use of the Service, your connected data, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, pose a security risk, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by nature should survive will survive.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance. We will post the current version at rangor.io/terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Rangor, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
13. Third-party trademarks
Names of third-party products and companies mentioned on our website — including Glean, Atlassian, and Rovo — are trademarks of their respective owners. Rangor is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Glean Technologies, Inc., Atlassian Pty Ltd, or any other third party named on the site. Product comparisons on rangor.io are provided for general information only.
